The counter-argument: The interference effect

The strongest argument against hybrid training is that you cannot maximize two opposing biological extremes at the same time. This is entirely true.

If your goal is to run a sub-2:20 marathon, pushing a 150kg sled will actively harm your running economy. The extra upper-body muscle mass you carry will slow you down.
